Michelle Lund, D.D.S.
Contact
Dr. Michelle Lund spent her early childhood in Fargo, North Dakota, and her senior year of high school in Trier, Germany as an exchange student. After graduating from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, she began her professional career in St. Peter, Minnesota. She joined a private practice with two exceptional mentors—dentists she had shadowed during her undergraduate years—who supported her growth and encouraged her development in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
Over time, Dr. Lund became the senior owner/dentist, and helped lead the practice into the digital age, first by introducing computers and later by transitioning to paperless charts and scanners. She remained with that practice for nearly 20 years. During this period, she also taught oral pathology and embryology to dental hygiene students for six years and supervised numerous dental assistant interns as they developed their chairside skills. She continued her passion for teaching as an Adjunct Professor at Minnesota State University, Mankato, working with both dental hygiene and dental therapy students.
Mentorship has always been important to Dr. Lund. She was once a Little Sister through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and later became a mentor herself—to a Little Sister, to pre-health undergraduate students, and now to her dental students. She finds great fulfillment in helping others discover their path in healthcare.
Dr. Lund and her husband, along with their three dogs, are excited to make Maine their new home. Their four adult children are equally enthusiastic—and especially eager to visit for the seafood. In her spare time, Dr. Lund enjoys crafting, board games, reading, walking, and watching basketball. Go Timberwolves… and Celtics!
